Chicken Soup and Mother's Day

The past few weeks have been good. After we got back from the Jungle Justin and I were a little sick, but have since then recovered. Justin had a bad flew, but is ALL better now. He had no appetite (Which is a FIRST). The only thing he was in the mood for was chicken soup. I have never made Chicken noodle from scratch so I was like so nervous. Thanks to my Momma, (Lesley Roe), I was able to make the soup succesfully. Thanks Mom!!!!! It was a hit and now I wont be nervous when I make it again. This was the final week for Bible School. The exams are complete and now we are getting ready for the Conference.Pastor Jon Stambo, Timmy D, and John Hettrick just returned from their eight weeks in the Jungle. Pastor Jon shaved his beard first thing and the other two are still rockin it. Justin is on a overnight bus to Trujillo with Timmy D as we speak. I whipped up some pre-bus dinner then off they went. They will spend the weekend in Trujillo then back in time for the LAM-CON conference. Pastor Hadley will be the guest speaker. We are all looking forward to it. That's it for now. Thank you again to all those keeping us in prayer. Also to those sending us support. It is a huge blessing and none of it goes unnoticed. One more thing. We just wanted to say that in honor of this past Mother's Day. Yes, we made are Mother's Day phone calls! We are sooooooooo thankful for our Mom's. Huge Roe/Schaller Mom fan's. Love you Mom's!!!

We Made it to the Jungle

We had a great time with our our friends in the jungle town of massamarre. Its a town of a few thousand in the high lands of the jungle. We had a few american missionaries go there in the begginning of March to spend 6 weeks with our GGWO Pastor, Pastor Jorge. They went with the mission of supporting him in the work of the ministry, teaching preaching evangelizing. While they have been there they have started a radio show that reaches greater massamarre with the gospel message. They go on air 2x a week for an hour. Each hour only 4 us dollars the guys have taken advantage of the cheap air waves and are loving it. DJ tim delouis starts the show off with his ipod in hand with a couple sweet hillsong jams and an introduction to the show. P.Stambo then takes over for the hour. This episode i was able to preach the gospel for 30 min, and God was faithful to communicate his love very clearly. It was awesome. after the show I had alot of peace in my heart just knowing the God is really with me in my Life. sometimes we have this feeling very strongly that God is with us every step of the way. That is amazing!!!!!! We spent the next few days with the church preaching and evangelizing, they have a church of 15 to 20 people and they are hungry to hear the things of God.....
Ann and I got an afternoon where we snuck away and rented a little 200cc motorcycle. Stambo showed me a little place were they rent them out for the hour. $1.50 an hour. another 2 bucks for some gas and we took off for a few hours. Cruising (slowly, dont worry parents) down the dirt roads on the outskirts of massamarre. We had beautiful weather to putt along from small village to village. We stopped a few times to take a couple pics and say hello to the locals. We had such a good time talking and laughing as we rode along the curvy roads.
We left on Thursday morning to go back to Lima, but on the way we stopped off at another one of our churchs in the town of oxapampa. pastor ceasesr is pastoring this church in the mountains about 6,000ft up. When we arrived he had a grill in the front yard and he was grilling up steak and chicken. We spent a few hours with him and his church. He is an excited man, and always ready with enthusiasm for the mission God has for him there in the Mountains of Peru. We got back on the road to lima in the late afternoon. We climbed the Andes through the evening and night and arrived back definatley ready for bed around 1am. The ride to and from the jungle is an interesting one. The heighest we get is about 15,000ft and i dont think you have a straight strip of road more then 100yds at any point. Its curvy and swarvy all the way there, but man is it beautiful. There were 8 of us from lima that made the trip. We really had a great time!!!!!!
Be praying for our churchs in the Jungles of peru in your prayers, It is an awesome work that God is doing there, and you are apart of it. Thank you for the prayers for both Ann margaret and I...

God Bless,

Pastor Justin and Ann M.
