Teaching English

My first day as an English teacher has officially begun. I never in a million years thought these words would leave my mouth, but it has happened. I teach English as a second language to three adorable Korean children. Jung and Daniel are four years old and Hanna is three years of straight up cuteness.

This is my first time teaching so I was a little curious how things would fall into place. Somehow by Gods' grace it is working out great and is a perfect provision from the Lord for this season. Justin and I go to their home in the mornings Tuesday through Friday's. The kids are a blast to be with and it's fun to see them learning new things.

These two are usually in competition with each other

Jung is always smiling with cuteness

They take their shapes very seriously

Daniel will always work faster if he knows he might not get a star

Grace in Lima, Trujillo,

We are excited about God's grace for us in these days. To recieve it, live in it, give it, preach about it, study it, fellowship in it, rejoice in it, relax in it, and be apart of it. Ann and I have landed and are allready enjoying our life together here on the mission field, really loving the "Mission" God has given both of us here in Peru. Our lives are not are own, it is in the hands of God and we are relaxed and loving that fact. The Mission is his mission, we are just a small part of Gods plan but loving the reality that he has included us in it, here in Peru. When we hear about the grace of God toward us and the Holy Spirit reveals to us who we really are, there is a real desire to share it with other people with enthusiasm. We want to live in this type of mission. "Lord show us who you are, what your mind is toward me and the people here in Peru." With that we can have a ministry for people here, and it is happening.
We spent a few days in Trujillo this past weekend and will every weekend, Lord willing, sharing about this truth. The church there in Trujillo is filled with believers that are being tighter and tighter as a group. They are maturing in the Life of the Church, and are understanding what they are in. We are excited about the 'Rehab Project' in the church. Ann is heading it up, and she is pumpped about sprucing about the place. Its going to be sweeet!!!! both of us will drop notes on this baby, we promise. She is all over, so she will get me on it....

Our New Home

Our first week in Peru as a married couple was difintely a blast. It took us an extra week to arrive but we made it. We had a minor problem with a lost passport in the airport, but it was found and we are here. We share an apartment with another couple on the team. This will be our home until we go back for the summer. It's a mystery where we will be when we return so keep us in prayer in finding another home. For now this is perfect and we absolutely love it.

The first week consisted of setteling in, being with the team, and 20 hours on a bus. Every weekend we will travel back and forth to the city of Trujillo. We have a small church there so we will be with them on the weekends. We have the church service in the home of a a family who we love dearly. In the next few weeks we will have our first church renovation project. We are going to invite everyone to come and help. It will be fun sprucing up the church with everyone. We are looking forward to what's in store, and we will be keeping you posted on the latest.
